I had a super duper stressful month but did the best I could with his birthday decorations.

I made cupcake labels but never got the chance to print them out...also some other stuff but it's not worth mentioning now. 

I'm just happy the day turned out so well and everyone had a great time. :)

Thanks to my MIL Lynne for coming over the night before and helping me make the mustache chocolates.

 

The box in the back is his time capsule.

I got everyone to fill out a little note for him to put in it. 

I will also fill it with pictures from the party, bday invitations and cards, pictures of our home, newspaper clippings from that day, bday candle, the bow tie he wore, handprints, etc....and will get him to open it on his 18th birthday. :)

 

The milk bottles in the back I filled one with milk and one with rice milk because my godson Maxwell is allergic to dairy.

And thanks to my younger sis for coming as early as she could to help set up.

We also had an adult table but I didn't get to take a picture of it. My bestie Siriphone made a delicious bow tie pasta dish. Sooo yummy! Thanks Douie! And thanks to my bestie Marinelle for making the punch. What would I do without all of you girls?

 

My friend Abby made the birthday cake. Super cute! We love it.

She also made a smaller cake for him to dig into but he didn't. 

He was a little under the weather and wasn't in the mood. Poor baby.

 

And BIG thanks to my hubby for taking care of Marcus, 

for being such a great father and husband.

Oh and thanks for grabbing the food, love! :)

We got a pinata!

I know it's not part of the theme but it was still a fun activity for the kids. And me. :P

 

Marcus got the first hit and then we went youngest to oldest.

I smashed the pinata in half and out came these goodies.

Not this neat of course.

The kiddos got a tie onesie or t-shirt depending on their age. You can't really see from this picture but Marcus' initial "MJ" is at the bottom of the tie. Each kiddo also got a Mr. or Little Miss book and some mustache crayons. I wanted to add more in the loot bags, like mustache chocolates, etc....but no time.

I'm such a procrastinator...next time I have to start early!
